Dear Parents,

Old Turtle was a great success, and I’m very proud of your children! It was one of the best performances yet!

This summer, a great activity would be weekly trips to the library so they can keep reading. I still remember when I was a child and my mom and I would bike down to the library every sunny summer day to get new books. I have attached two different summer reading lists to the 2nd Grade website along with ideas to promote summer reading. Summer reading book lists

It’s hard to believe, but your child is finished with Second Grade, and summer vacation is starting! I can’t tell you enough about how much I truly enjoyed this year with your children. I will remember them with great love and I’m very sad to see them go. I feel so blessed that I was able to go out with such a caring class. If your child would like to write to me, they can send any letters to the school, and I will make sure I get them. Email can also be sent to mpalmerloh@yahoo.com. Many of you are very eager to know where I will be ending up (as am I!) so I’ll try to update you in July when we know our final destination.
