Dear Extended Care Families,
I hope to find your families rejuvenated from summer vacation and ready to come back to a new year at Corpus Christi!
There are many exciting changes for Extended Care this year. With your help and support, our program enrollment has steadily increased throughout the years. We are blessed to have both Mrs. Sue McPhee as our After-Care Teacher and Mrs. Ann-Nell Cadigan as our After-School Aide returning to our program. It is also my privilege to announce that Ms. Amy Thomas will be joining us as an additional M-F teacher. She is well-acquainted with Corpus Christi and I believe she will be a great addition to our community. Furthermore, we are currently in the process of hiring even one more staff member to our team; I am excited that this will allow more flexibility to your children’s activities each day.
Going forward, as the beginning of school quickly approaches, our staff is preparing to make the best of your child’s experience in the program. In order to do so, contract schedules for the month of August/September must be received by Friday, August 19. To ensure the safety of your child, be sure to indicate on the Extended Care Family Registration Form the date you would like to begin your contract. Please note that drop-in hours will be applied until a final schedule is received.
Extended Care begins on the first day of school: Tuesday, August 23 for Grades 1-8 and Wednesday, August 24 for Kindergarten. For program policies and information, the Extended Care Handbook, which is included at the end of the Parent/Student School Handbook, will be available on Back to School Night.
You are welcome to contact me for any questions or concerns. I will also be available during New Parent Orientation on Thursday, August 18. My staff and I look forward to hearing about your summer adventures in just a few short weeks!
