From Joy to the World to A Christmas Carol...so much content (the old fashioned kind) to enjoy at Christmas

Christmas is not complete without reading some classics and Christmas tunes getting stuck in your head. As we continue to enjoy this holiday season with our family and friends, let us review the list of Christmas books our resident Book Reviewer, Riley from 7th grade researched for us! And in the old times, we would be burning our own Christmas CD’s or even creating a mix tape, but our awesome 8th graders created a  special Spotify playlist just for our community to enjoy... because we are fancy like that!

Must Read Christmas Books:

A Christmas Carol

One of the most classic Christmas books. Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol is a time old story that is still read today. This story is a great read for kids and adults alike. It’s the perfect book to gather around a fire and read as a family.

The Polar Express

Written and illustrated by Chris Van Allisburg, The Polar Express is a classic story for kids. A magical tale perfect for the holidays. Even though the book was written for kids, it’s still a great story for anyone. With amazing illustrations and a great story, it’s another great read for Christmas.

The Father Christmas Letters

An amazing Christmas story by J.R.R. Tolkien. The Father Christmas Letters is written in letter form in Father Christmas’s view or his elvish secretaries. A great book for J.R.R. Tolkien fans.

Christmas Day in the Morning

A Christmas classic written by Pearl S. Buck. It's a great story about the Christmas Spirit about a young boy who wants to find the perfect gift for his father. A great read for families over the holidays.

The Elf on the Shelf

A great short story for young kids. Made by Bell Chanda and Carol V. Aebersold, Elf on the Shelf is a great picture book for young readers. Perfect for kids on the holidays, especially for the houses that have special elf visitors from the North Pole!

The Gift of Magi

A Christmas short story for the holidays, about a struggling couple trying to buy presents with the little money they have. The Gift of Magi is a great story to read together cozying up by the fire and sipping hot cocoa, maybe with some mini marshmallows too.
