Second grade reminds us of Dr. King and his dream!

Our second graders spent some time discussing Martin Luther King, Jr. and his impact on our world. Here are their thoughts.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream

He wanted his kids to be judged by their character not their skin.  He didn’t want skin color to matter. He used only peaceful protests. He wanted equal rights for everyone.

My Dream

I want homeless people to have homes, for people to stop littering, for no one shooting or killing people and for everyone in the world to be healthy.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream

He wanted kids to be equal. He didn’t want skin color to matter anymore. He wanted everybody to be equal the same way. He wanted people not to fight.

My Dream

My dream is to give love to everybody and my family to help people who need help and for everybody to have an awesome day.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Dream

His dream was that all children could be treated equally so they could go to the same schools. He also dreamed that segregation would end. He also wanted his children not be be treated by their skin but by their character. And to have fun.

My Dream

I wish that all of the homeless people get a home to live in. I also wish that those who don’t have food to make them healthy and strong get food. I wish that no one will bully anyone.
